We’re just under 2 months away from the highly anticipated release of Dead Island 2, and the Dambuster studio wanted to take the floor to provide news on its FPS. It’s through a 14 minute gameplay video that the gameplay is broken down again. First of all, we learn that this part of the game is set in the Bel-Air neighborhood of Los Angeles, a place naturally made popular by Will Smith’s series. But here the Banks family has been replaced by zombies with very slow movements, which gives the player time to choose his weapon to defeat them. Be careful, the game is clearly not in the lace and even gets very bloody, knowing that Dead Island 2 offers a dismemberment technology, which allows you to crush bones, slice zombies and even ignite the flesh. It is also specified that the zombies will be represented by different types: standard zombies (infected, stragglers, sprinters), variants (infected grenadiers), and Apex (hyper-mutated zombies). They all have their own unique powers and personalities. In this video we can also see the “Blood Anger” mode that can be activated as an ultimate attack, since the character is definitely infected, but is immune to the zombie virus.
Dead Island 2 is expected to release on April 21 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4, and Xbox One.
