The information was provided by IGN.com last month, but today it’s official: Nintendo isn’t going to the Los Angeles Convention Center for the E3 festivities this year. A blow to the organizers who will have to do without the three manufacturers Sony, Microsoft and therefore also Nintendo. Despite his absence, the Kyoto firm insisted on supporting the show and explained “his interest in each event is assessed on a case-by-case basis, with a desire to interact with their fans in the best way possible”. This year, therefore, a presence does not seem warranted, especially since Zelda Tears of the Kingdom will be launched a few weeks ago, which does not help Nintendo’s plans, no doubt still with its head in the grindstone to promote the game everywhere. And then Nintendo has accustomed its audience to regular speeches on the Internet, through its Nintendo Direct, which is quite effective and, above all, inexpensive to produce. With the absences of Sony and Microsoft also confirmed, one wonders if the ESA, the organizers of E3, will manage to host the show with the other publishers. The annual loss in Los Angeles will at least look like a loss this year…
