As this villain Doctor Gang takes control of Metroville, Inspector Gadget tries to return to the past to nip the dictatorship in the bud. Patatras, his time machine goes off the rails. Instead of turning back the clock, it’s the ancestors of the trench coat detective who are propelled into the present. This is the narrative pretext underlying 16 mini-games scattered across Metroville, which we gadget-explore in all gadget senses.
Of course, the main characters such as Chef Gontier and Sophie will be there, unfortunately not so much emphasized by the rather vague images, as you can see in the gallery below. The soundtrack is composed by a woman named Tanis Chalopin. Our most observant readers will notice that she is the daughter of Jean Chalopin, the original creator of the series. Failing to revolutionize the parlor game, Inspector Gadget – Mad Time Party will have the good taste to get the original credits in the minds of our dear darlings.
Inspector Gadget – Mad Time Party will be released in Fall 2023 on PC, Switch, and PlayStation. Unfortunately no nostalgia for Xbox owners.
