The company DXOMark has put the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra through its test protocol to find out what it has in its stomach. Samsung doesn’t fail in its reputation on the screens, as the Galaxy S23 Ultra is a great vintage: only the iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are ahead of the ranking.
During our test of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, we gave this high-end smartphone a 9/10 on the screen part. In our opinion, this screen is almost flawless (brightness, size, definition, fluidity), except perhaps for the color calibration.
DXOMark has also thoroughly tested this Samsung phone in its labs and it must be acknowledged that the panel of this model has something to please. If this new model is better than its predecessor in terms of screen, it is far from the case in the photo part.

DXOMark has updated its ranking of the best screens for smartphones by adding the latest from Samsung : he climbed to third place on the podium, just behind the iPhone 14 Pro And iPhone 14 Pro Max, whose screens – also designed by Samsung – received the perfect score of 10/10 in our rubrics. The company notes significant improvements over the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, particularly in terms of motion control and color reproduction. If the brand’s Ultra remains the best in video and adaptive refresh rate, DXOMark still sees a lag in readability and on thealiasing.

A few words about the audio, which DXOMark also analyzed. For the company, the results are more mixed with a score of 139 points, only putting the Galaxy S23 Ultra in 17th place. If the overall performance is good, with bass present and strong, volume changes are inconsistent and the sound stages on offer can be wider given the phone’s dimensions.
