For example, Hellblade 2: Senua’s Saga returned without warning during the Game Developers Conference 2023 (GDC 2023) currently being held in San Francisco. Among the actors who want to make noise, there is Epic Games which has revealed a new video Hellblade 2, in collaboration with creator studio Ninja Theory. Indeed, the idea is to highlight the technological feats possible with the Unreal Engine 5, and the least we can say is that it’s impressively realistic. We see the actress Melina Juergens brings Senua’s twisted character to life, with set-up revealed before the start of acting and once the sequence is over, in her performance capture costume. The video is barely 1 minute long, but it’s more than enough to see the graphics performance of Epic Games’ 3D engine. Of course, it’s just a demo with nothing around it and we imagine the in-game rendering will be less flattering, but at least we can see the tools being made available to creators getting more and more breathtaking. Now we can’t wait to see some gameplay and know a release date, it’s been 4 years since the game was announced and we still haven’t seen anything concrete.
