Announced last summer at gamescom 2022, the Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh from Microids revealed the gameplay during the Pegasus 2023 ceremony to open the night. The chance to finally see what this action and adventure game developed by Pensulo Studios, the creators of Runaway, Blacksad and more recently Vertigo, will look like. The latter has also dropped point & click for a more action-oriented approach, with a Tintin that will be played in the third person. These first moving pictures show us a certain variety in the gameplay, with exploration, platforming, vehicles to drive (plane and car) and we hope for other surprises. We also see Snowy for the first time, whose modeling isn’t the most successful (the hair lacks realism anyway).
As for the story, know that the game game is inspired by the comic of the same name in which our Belgian reporter, together with captain Haddock and professor Siclone, goes in search of the tomb of the pharaoh Kih-Oskh. As we can see in the trailer, the game should make us travel, with passages in India, Egypt, but also in Saudi Arabia. iNasty release of Tintin Reporter: Cigars of the Pharaoh is scheduled for 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and of course Nintendo Switch.
