Saint Seiya The Movie: The International Trailer is worrying fans, the armors are off-topic

During this weekend, Sony Pictures released the very first international trailer for Knights of the Zodiac, better known to us as Saint Seiya The Movie. We’re therefore entitled to additional never-before-seen images from the Japanese and Asian trailers, but nothing to really reassure us. It is true that turning Masami Kurumada’s manga into real shots is not an easy task, not to say almost impossible, which is why one wonders why the producers keep trying. Meanwhile, according to this new trailer, the story seems to follow the true adventures of Seyar/Seiya in his quest to become the Bronze Knight of Pegasus. Many elements respect the original work, such as Seyar’s civilian outfit, the presence of Marine and her outfit, which is also faithful, without forgetting Athena who will also appear with her purple hair, her large white dress and her scepter. But it’s the completely redesigned armor that will have manga and anime fans screaming in horror. The military presence is also cringe-inducing and casting-wise isn’t a panacea either.

Seyar is played by American actor Mackenyu Arata, unknown to the general public (and who will also be part of the live-action cast of One Piece on Netflix), while Nick Stahl (John Connor in Terminator 3) plays Cassios on takes. , who incidentally appears to be given armor in the film. We’re not very manga accurate for once. Sean Bean will be there, no doubt ready to die, Famke Janssen too, slightly denatured by her plastic surgery and finally a Mark Dacascos who will be there to do acrobatics. We see a few Golden Knights like the Taurus (in an earlier trailer) and the Capricon, but no trace of the other Bronze Knights, except for Ikki, the Phoenix Knight.
