After a very successful last model in August 2022, the next Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected for the end of 2023. If the rumors about the novelties that this version could bring have multiplied for a year, a reliable leaker has just tempered expectations from fans of the South Korean manufacturer: the external screen and the main photo module should not change in the end.

If confirmed, these rumors may disappoint Samsung fans. In early March, leaker Ice Universe reported two new pieces of information about the format’s next foldable smartphone model Crease from the South Korean manufacturer, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, the news site reports 9to5Google.
The product is expected for the end of 2023 and is the subject of many rumors about its next novelties. However, the last two rumors go the other way: according to the leaker, neither the external screen nor the main photo module would change in this new version.
An external screen is just as narrow
Generally quite reliable, the leaker gives the first information in a post on his Twitter account, Wednesday, March 8: Ice Universe “ confirmed” that the smartphone will retain a 6.2-inch external screen, the same size as the last three generations of the Galaxy Z Fold. If this format isn’t a problem in itself, it does suggest that the 23:9 aspect ratio wouldn’t change either.
Sadly, I can confirm that the Galaxy Z Fold5’s external screen is still 6.2″😕 https://t.co/isu6Ylnhgi

As reminded 9to5Google “Samsung has long been criticized for the outer screen of its Fold range, as the very tall and narrow design can be awkward when typing on the keyboard and using certain applications. The media also notes that other foldable phones in the same size offer screen ratios that are much closer to those of traditional smartphones. In particular, we can mention the latest Honor Magic Vs, whose launch in Europe was announced MWC 2023, equipped with a 6.45-inch external screen with a ratio of 21: 9.
The same main photo module
The second bad news is shared by the same broadcast channel. In a tweet from Friday, March 10, Ice Universe continues to deliver disappointing information to Samsung fans: the smartphone should keep “same camera module as Fold 4Again, the leaker only mentions the wide-angle module as such, but we can deduce that the 50-megapixel definition will also remain unchanged.
Galaxy Z Fold5 continues to use the same camera module as Fold4. It is impossible to use HP2.

Problem: This contradicts a rumor spread by the Vietnamese media in late January 2023 The pixels on an upcoming 108-megapixel wide-angle sensor. A definition that has been available on Samsung smartphones since the Galaxy S20 Ultra… released in 2020. While the sensor of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 largely satisfied us during our test, the absence of such a definition could be noticed for a premium smartphone against its competitors.
The bad news piles up
Bad news adding to another negative rumor: In late February, the media cameET newsestimated that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 would not be equipped with a pen slot, unlike Samsung’s Ultra smartphones.
There remains only one major improvement that is expected by the fans: rumor has it that the next foldable Samsung will be equipped with a new generation hinge. In the hope that this innovation will not be reversed.
