🤔 Which stores carry PS5 stock?
The PS5 was offered for €499 and the PS5 Digital Edition for €399 from launch until August 2022. Sony announced a €50 price increase in Europe, and therefore in France. The two consoles therefore go to € 549.99 and € 449.99 respectively.
However, they are still hard to find in stock from various brands such asAmazon, Auchan, Boulanger, Carrefour, Cdiscount, Cultura, Fnac, E.Leclerc and Micromania. These stores regularly offer copies at MSRP, but they are only available for a few minutes or hours.
If you want to treat yourself to a PS5 soon enough, you have to settle for a pack with one or more games or accessories. This is currently the case at Cdiscount, LeClerc and on the Fnac site.
Unfortunately, it’s impossible to know in advance when new additions are planned from Sony’s other partner retailers, but we’ll remain alert here to warn you of a return of PS5 stock.
Availability of the PS5 in France
The PS5 is currently available on the Fnac and LeClerc websites and on Cdiscount.. It is offered in a package with games or accessories (second controller, Sony Pulse 3D headset, etc.). The cheapest package is € 600.70 on E. Leclerc. On the Fnac website and on Cdiscount, the console is available in packs of games from € 619.99.

How to be alerted to the return of PS5 stock in 2023?
It only took a few minutes for the PlayStation 5 to sell out when it launched in France. If some were able to acquire it, others still are looking for a return to stock in 2023. For the latter, we explain how you can be kept informed so as not to miss the Playstation 5’s return to stock.
Some retail sites offering the PS5 for sale have a “stock alarm” allowing you to be alerted in case of new availability of the console. Even though the principle differs from one site to another, the manipulation remains similar.
Stores that offer an alert
- Amazon.nl : On the standard edition console page, you have the option to click on the “Request an invitation“. As soon as the console is back in stock, the site will send you an email with a personal link to purchase the PS5. This link is valid for 72 hours and allows you to purchase only one console.
- Darty. com : On the page of the sold out product you will see the mention “PRODUCT NOT AVAILABLE“, including the following message “Notify me when this product becomes available” with a field to enter your email address. Enter your email address and click the “OK” button. You will receive an email confirming your subscription to this alert. You will then receive an email notification as soon as the product is available for sale again on Darty.com.
- Fnac. com : On the Fnac.com site it’s just as easy, provided you know where the option is and be logged in to your customer account. No written statement to guide you, but a bell icon. It’s to the right of the product image. Once you click on the bubble, a pop-up box will open with the following message: “Receive a notification – Subscribe to this product to be the first to be notified of a price drop, an exceptional promotion or its availability in stock…” logically followed by a button “Warn mewhich you need to click. The message “Added to my notifications” confirms your subscription.
- Micromania.fr : On this site that specializes in video games, click the button “Create an alert” and enter your email address in the window that opens.
“Abuse” the F5 key for other stores:
Unfortunately, not all sites offer a way to be notified when the PS5 is back in stock, such as Auchan, Boulanger, Cdiscount, Cultura and E.Leclerc. The only solution in this case is to refresh the web page manually by using the F5 key regularly. Restocks can happen at any time and stock is almost guaranteed to sell out within minutes of going live.

🤔 What price differences between the two PS5 models?
Not a huge difference between the PS5 and the PS5 Digital Edition, except that the former has a Blu-Ray player and the latter does not. This is the only technical difference between the two models. Their characteristics are indeed similar and neither is more powerful than the other. They both run games at 4K/60FPS. In terms of price, the version with reader is more expensive, there is a difference of €100.
