The characteristics of the Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro
The Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro have the same SoC, namely the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, the latest high-end chip from Qualcomm. It is supported by 8/256 LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage for the standard version and 12 GB RAM and 256 GB storage for the Pro version. Apart from this aspect, the two models are quite different. Starting with their size: the standard version has an AMOLED screen of 6.36 inches in Full HD+ definition (2,400 x 1,080 pixels) with a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
In that respect, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has an AMOLED LTPO 3.0 display 6.73 inches in 3200 x 1440 pixel definition with a variable refresh rate from 1 to 120 Hz. Both screens are brighter than ever with a maximum brightness of 1900 nits. They are also compatible with HDR10, HDR 10+, Dolby Vision and HLG.
For the photo part, the Xiaomi 13 Pro has three 50 MP sensors (wide angle, ultra wide angle and telephoto). The main sensor is one 1 inch gigantic Sony IMX989 f/1.9 which is more efficient in low light, as we saw during our review of the Xiaomi 13 Pro. The telephoto lens is capable of that in that respect3.2x optical zoom.
The Xiaomi 13 has a different photo configuration in that regard. It’s still a triple sensor, but this time composed of a 50MP Sony IMX766 1″ main lens supported by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 2MP macro. We finally get to the battery + fast charging part.
The Xiaomi 13 has a battery with a capacity of 4500 mAh compatible with wired fast charging 67W (0 to 100% in 38 minutes). The Pro model has a battery of 4820mAh with a fast charge of 120 W (0 to 100% in 20 minutes). By default it charges in 30 minutes, but it is possible to activate an option to charge at maximum power.
