Yamaha has just unveiled its new Bluetooth noise canceling headphones, the YH-E700B. A helmet that is positioned as a spearhead against Bose, Sony or Apple.

Yamaha is not only a manufacturer of pianos, recorders or sports motorcycles. Also in the field of consumer audio, the manufacturer has not only made a name for itself with speakers, but also headphones and headphones.
It is precisely in this last area that the manufacturer announced a major novelty this week, the Yamaha YH-E700B. This is a new premium Bluetooth headset with active noise cancellation. Like Apple’s AirPods Max, the Sony WH-1000XM5, the Bose Headphones 700 or the Bowers & Wilkins Px7 S2, the new Yamaha YH-E700B is in the high-end segment of headphones with many features on offer.
Of course, for sound reproduction, the headphones are equipped with dynamic transducers with a diameter of 40 mm with low distortion – less than 1% in the range from 500 to 10,000 Hz – thanks to a diaphragm with two layers of laminated film. The headset is also compatible with the Bluetooth audio codecs SBC and AAC, as well as Qualcomm’s aptX Adaptive, with a frequency range of 8 to 40,000 Hz. The Japanese manufacturer also indicates that it has integrated version 5.2 of Bluetooth, for sound transmission up to 10 meters . We will also find the Google Fast Pair protocol for fast pairing with an Android smartphone.
Bluetooth headphones with active noise cancellation
The Yamaha YH-E700B also includes active noise canceling features in addition to passive isolation thanks to the circum-aural format – the headphones encompass the ear. Yamaha also promises the integration of an ambient sound mode to perceive the sounds around you thanks to the different microphones used. Finally, there are also certain features specific to Yamaha headphones and earphones, such as Listening Care Advanced – to maintain tonal balance regardless of volume – or Concept True Sound – to faithfully reproduce the sound produced.

As for the autonomy of its YH-E700B, Yamaha announces up to 32 hours of use in noise canceling mode. The headset also benefits from a 3.5mm jack for wired connection to a source. Charging is via USB-C.
The Yamaha YH-E700B headphones will be available in March in two colors: black or beige. It is offered for sale at a price of 399 euros.
